We need a wartime mindset toward sin. Aware. Prepared. Alert. Because our mindset determines our direction, and steers our heart accordingly.
Just like Peter, from time to time we all do dumb stuff. And we do unloving things to those we most love. But our faith doesn’t fail when we fail.
Know why we refer to servers as waiters? ‘Serving’ requires attentive ‘waiting’. And as good waiters, we must be eagerly anticipating our Father and Friend.
Are you a cheerful giver? It’s a no-win situation for believers who feel guilty when they don’t give, and are reluctant when they do give.
Whatever you do, don’t just give God your leftovers. Especially since He only asks for one thin slice.
First, we gotta see truth as treasure. Then we gotta seek it, find it, and secure it in our heart. And then we gotta share the wealth.
God gladly trades His treasure for our trash. But finding those pearls of wisdom of the knowledge of God requires some serious, ongoing seeking.
Our Father will rattle everything in us and around us till all our trust is settled and firmly founded on our Rock.
