Obedience that comes from faith is when you know what you’re supposed to do, but it doesn’t make sense to you.

Whenever anyone uses God’s good name to shore up their less-than perfect reputation of reliability for being trustworthy, they’re buying trust on His credit.

You can’t ignore physical murder, but we sure deceive ourselves about heart murder. Especially if it feels like nothing more than a wish someone would just disappear.

Last Sunday we talked about “dying to self” so we won’t “remain in death”. However, there is a necessary prep step to that: It’s called beholding.

A living sacrifice is an ongoing commitment of complete surrender to live and love as the Lord loves us, rather than trying to save your bacon!

Our perspective of faith can bring peace and joy even when facing fear and pain, like a woman giving birth … without an epidural.
