The way we use the New Testament without putting in the OT is a chronic problem, because the NT without the OT is just a wannabe.
Jesus isn’t just bread, He’s like restaurant bread! The kind that, when you start eating it, makes you sorry you ordered anything else!
Who Was the Creator? Who Is the Perfect Church?
The only way we can be the perfect church, the holy church, is Christ in us. So when God looks on us, all He sees is the works of His Son, and we’ll be righteous in the sight of God.
The light of Truth reveals how dim you are, because without it you can’t know what you don’t know. If you want your life to stay lit, just add Jesus!
Whatever trial, hurdle, test, or disaster you’re facing; the truest, deepest, answer lies in knowing God’s Word for yourself.
Faith is all about taking that first step, building confidence, and keeping your eyes on Jesus. The critical factor in faith isn’t its size, but its object.
In scripture, “the heart” refers to the invisible part of us (the soul, the mind, the will) that is made in the image of God.
Interestingly, the only example given of Solomon’s wisdom is the story of dividing a child between the two prostitutes. In First Kings, Israel prostitutes itself to false idols, and God seems to be making the same judgment.
In Second Samuel, we see King David go from the golden age of righteousness when Israel was invincible, to the dark ages of unrighteousness, when he was conquered by sin.
